Like a piece of art with as many interpretations as people who view it, Eva Moolchan’s (aka Sneaks) music is kaleidoscopic, completely unique to the listener. With astrological assertions alongside poetry filtered through a riot grrl spirit and set to thumping bass lines and infectious beats, Moolchan asks all of the questions but invites the listener to divine their own answers. Moolchan also writes zines and makes short films.

Richie Goods and Chien Chien Lu “CONNECTED“ just received 34th Golden Melody Awards “Best Instrumental Album“.
“CONNECTED” was formed in 2020. During the COVID-19 lockdown, Richie Goods and Chien Chien had frequent conversations about the Black Lives Matter movement and the unwarranted hate crimes against Asians. They decided to do a project that would unify people and invoke imagery of love and peace. As often happens, music was the catalyst that bridged the gap and resulted in a rare collaboration; a partnership that produced “The Path” Sep. 2020, “We Three Kings” Nov. 2020, and “Rain” Dec. 2021. They decided to cement their musical relationship by creating “CONNECTED”, and together, Richie and Chien Chien create an exciting, new, energetic listening experience and attract new audiences everywhere.

The bands and artists you see on stage are your fellow DC neighbors. Like you, they love their city and are passionate about the abortion access movement. Check out the lineup to learn more about each act.
Learn about abortion access.
In 2024, abortion access is on the ballot. While DC is the only region in the Southeast with zero abortion limits, bodily autonomy will never be guaranteed without DC statehood.

DC, Thanks for loving us back.

FAQ
You asked, we answered.
Still got questions? Holler at info@DCAbortionFund.org and we’ll point you in the right direction.
-
No. These are all-ages shows. You must show an ID to prove you are 21+ to be served alcohol.
-
The vast majority of ticket sales benefit DCAF, with the venues taking a small percentage to fairly compensate their staff. (You can thank our three wonderful venues—Songbyrd, Pie Shop, and metrobar—for providing their space for My Body My Festival.) To give back to the three establishments, please purchase food and/or drinks at the venues!
-
At this time, all three venues are allowing wallets, clutches, and purses (no backpacks). All bags are subject to search, and anyone unwilling to comply will be asked to leave.
-
Unfortunately, you cannot leave a venue and return to the show.
-
We strongly encourage festival goers to use public transportation as much as possible. We expect sold-out shows, which means ride shares and parking will be scarce. Please ride Metro and Metrobus to each venue!
-
Yes. We (the DC Abortion Fund) strictly partnered with three DC venues that have their own security to keep our community safe.
-
Yes. Restrooms are available at all three venues and the afterparty.
-
All tickets and the after party are general admission, so there are no designated seats. If you wish for a space close to the stage, please arrive early.
-
The time varies venue to venue. Most doors will open 30 minutes to one hour prior to each show.
-
Masks are not required, but encouraged. You can bring your own, and more will be available at each venue. Rapid testing beforehand is highly recommended. For your safety, test once 48 hours before the festival, then once again day-of. While metrobar is outdoors, Songbyrd, Pie Shop, and Lost Generation Brewery are all indoor venues.
-
The My Body My Festival experience takes place across four venues, and each venue varies in its accessibility.
Day 1: There is a tall, narrow staircase to access the event space at Pie Shop. Unfortunately, there is no elevator.
Day 2: Songbyrd is street level, and it’s flat to get inside!
Day 3: metorbar is an outdoor space; it is flat to get inside and there are ramps to access the train car and other enclosed spaces.
Afterparty: There may be a small step up to access Lost Generation Brewing Company; the inside is flat. There are accessible seating options!
